Philippines is quite busy preparing for the 2010 Presidential Election. Each presidentiables are making their individual moves to let people know who they are and what they have done for the country. Some are making issues and allegations on their opponent to divert people’s mind and choose not to vote for him/her. Some are making their own initiatives to be famous and be remembered. Some are using famous celebrities to introduce them in the public. Some are taking advantages of their family’s prime to acquire people’s sympathy. And some are humble enough to just state their real intentions and the things they wanted to do for the nation. In other words, each of them has its own gimmick in conveying people that they deserve to be the next Philippine President. But who would really be the right, appropriate and deserving one to be sitting on that Presidential throne for the next 6 years?

I assumed, people are looking for the perfect one. But what would be our basis for that perfect one? I guess we won’t just vote for that person because we think he can help us. We won’t be giving our vote to that person because he has promised us for a better country. And definitely we won’t be voting him/her because he/she is famous or his/her family made a history in our country. This day makes another history in the world of boxing! Our very own Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has won the fight against the Puerto Rico’s pride Miguel Cotto in Welterweight Division. It was indeed one of the best fights we consider in the history of boxing. Having Miguel Cotto as a power puncher and Manny Pacquiao of his speed and explosive power punches as well. It made a new record for Manny Pacquiao to be the first fighter to win in 7 divisions. Amazing!
