A Handycam Camcorder with GPS?
Summer is here once again and it’s time for our greatest adventures. Because every moment is special that we don’t want to miss, as we go on our journeys and adventures we need something that would capture all our memorable moments.
Just this month, Sony has unveiled their newest camcorder, the HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder. This camcorder was designed similarly with the hit Flip camcorders in the market. This camcorder can capture a 1920 x 1080 high definition video and a 4 megapixel photos. It includes 16GB of flash memory that can record videos for about 6 hours. You can also capture content onto Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media which is sold separately for additional recording time.
The HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder has a 2.7-inch wide LCD touch panel with a very instinctive controls. This camcorder is different from those other flip camcorders in a sense that this HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder has a GPS antenna and NAVTEQ® digital maps to geo-tag videos and photos so you can document your destinations on a map. Geo-tagged content is marked by a push pin at each shot location and can be played back on the camcorder screen or on your PC.
Other features that is included on this HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder is the Smile Shutter technology in which it automatically snaps quality photos as subjects smile. It also has Face Detection technology that can recognize faces and corrects its focus, exposure, and color control automatically. The camcorder has a BIONZ™ image processor that works with an Exmor™ CMOS sensor for pristine imaging, and it has a Carl Zeiss® Vaio-Tessar® lens with 10X optical zoom designed specifically for compact camcorders. A built-in flash is also added to reduce shadows and improves still images in low-light situations.
This HDR-TG5V Handycam camcorder is said to be out in the market this May. So watch for it!
